A small pixel pet at the edge of your window who keeps your next five tasks one click away.

What it does

  • Click him for your most urgent open tasks: overdue first, then due today. Check one off right there.
  • Reads plain checkboxes, the Tasks plugin format and Dataview fields, with or without those plugins.
  • A badge with how many tasks are due. He works when something is due and rests when you are done.
  • 93 looks: castle folk, office workers, space crew, starship officers and zoo animals.
  • He walks, flies and wanders the window, and holds still when your mouse is near.
  • Optional helper that breaks a task into steps or writes a first draft, with Claude or a model on your own PC.

Set it up

Task Pet is on its way to the Obsidian community directory. These steps work once it is listed.

  1. In Obsidian, open Settings, Community plugins, and turn off Restricted mode if it is on.
  2. Press Browse and search for Task Pet.
  3. Press Install, then Enable. He appears at the bottom of your window.
  4. Click him to see your next tasks.
